Oorlogsgraven Waalhaven
Een deel van de rij Duitse oorlogsgraven op Waalhaven langs de beruchte schutting rond het voormalige Nederlandse vliegveld. De meeste graven bieden als grafopschrift 'hier ruht ein Fallschrimj ger'. Het gros werd pas na de oorlog geidentificeerd. Het meest rechtse graf is echter van Unteroffizier Ernst Schindler van III./KGzbV.1.
A selection of the German war graves on Waalhaven AFB along the notorious fence that the Dutch had built to prevent spionage activities. Most graves have a cross stating 'here lays an airborne'. Only in the first years after the war most of these unidentified airbornes were identified by Dutch researchers. The grave on the far right is that of the Unteroffizier Ernst Schindler of III./KGzbV.1.
